We are thrilled to announce that Scarlet Blood, an Adult Horror Vampire Visual Novel, is now available for download! This is the very first release of the game, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.

What is Scarlet Blood?

Scarlet Blood is an immersive journey that spans centuries, beginning in 1665 London during the Great Plague and ending in 2030. Follow the story of a young man whose desperate attempt to save his sick sister plunges him into a dark world of immortality and bloodlust. Turned into a vampire against his will, he is haunted by loss and consumed by a thirst for answers.

Under the enigmatic guidance of Lord Darvell, players will unravel the secrets of an ancient artefact that holds the key to his immortality and the fate of London itself. This story explores moral dilemmas, supernatural intrigue and the fine line between man and monster.

A Game Inspired by Legends

Taking inspiration from iconic vampire-themed games such as Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, V Rising, Vampyr and the Legacy of Kain series, Scarlet Blood weaves a tale that captures the essence of classic and modern supernatural themes. The story is steeped in vampire literature and is designed to blend history, legend and fantasy into an unforgettable experience.

Future updates will expand the world with prominent figures from history and literature, deepening the lore and broadening the narrative scope.

Early Development & A Small Team

Scarlet Blood is in early development, and while we’ve done our best to create a compelling experience, some features are still being refined. This prototype uses AI-generated assets for art, music and sound effects, but these elements may change in the future.

Our small, dedicated team works a few hours a week to bring this vision to life, and the future of the project depends on the support of players like you. Your feedback and involvement is crucial in shaping the game, and we are immensely grateful for your patience and encouragement.

Alpha 0.0.1: Features & Highlights

Here’s what you can expect in the current version:

Story & Quests:

• Playable Prologue: The full Prologue sets the stage for the game’s epic narrative.
• Quests and Encounters:
  • 11 quests and 3 radiant quests.
  • 3 fixed encounters and random encounters to discover.
  • 2 different endings (within the Prologue).

Gameplay Systems:

• Base Management: Establish a player base after completing The Empty House quest. Upgrade rooms with resources obtained from quests (Future updates will expand this feature).
• Interactive World: Read in-game newspaper articles to gain insight into the state of the world.
• Achievements: Unlock several achievements tied to the Prologue.
• Core Systems:
  • Custom User Interface.
  • Extras Menu: Images, Scene And Music Galleries (At the moment, there are only two scenes available to unlock).
  • Inventory, Character Statistics, and Character Creation screens.
  • Day-by-Day system with option to skip a certain number of days.
  • Weather Effects mechanics (Different Weather each day in the game with special sound and visual effects).
  • Lock Picking mini-game.

Audio & Visuals:

• Several pieces of music and sound effects implemented.
• Background art and character sprites in place to immerse players in the game world.

Gameplay Duration:

• Up to 2 hours of content.
• A rich script containing 30,491 words.

Post-Launch Updates

Since the initial release, we’ve responded to feedback with three updates. These updates have fixed various bugs, errors, missing images and other issues to improve the overall experience. Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback - it makes all the difference!
